CT Anti-Scatter Grid

Anti-scatter grids of CT scanners are traditionally complicated structures to produce and assemble. Anti-scatter grids require tight tolerances whilst being prone to structural deformation, resulting in deterioration of image quality.

Tungsten alloy is used to meet the necessary mechanical properties. However, it is notoriously difficult industry-wide challenge to produce crack-free parts using Tungsten.

With a specially developed Tungsten Alloy powder by AmPro along with AmPro 3D printers, we have been able to successfully produce these complex and highly accurate parts defect-free and incredibly quickly.

Anti-scatter grids produced on AmPro machines have wall thicknesses of < 0.1 mm, to an accuracy of < 0.02 mm and > 99% density.
